As the province's only acute-care, pediatric hospital, BC Children's Hospital is the child health specialist for British Columbia. The caregivers inside it's walls are dedicated to providing children and families from all over the province with the best possible medical care available.
Every year Powell River children make about 700 visits to Children's Hospital, which provides care to children from more then 200 BC communities.
BC Children's Hospital has received more than $150,000 from Powell River's United Way in the past 20 years. Recent funds raised locally have gone towards much needed cribs, and specialized equipment that will make a huge difference to the young patients, their families and hospital staff.
